As many of you have heard by now, DFW was rocked yesterday by at least 15 tornadoes! We are so very blessed that they skipped over where me and my family live. We are also very thankful for the many texts, calls, emails and Facebook messages from literally all around the world (all the way from Canada, Mexico, and from the UK) making sure everyone was OK.  We had to seek shelter once while we were at work, and we kept a very close eye on the sky because, like anything in Texas, the wind could change in a second. Another HUGE blessing, is so far, there have not been any reports of any deaths due to these storms, which, looking at some of the pictures is truly the hand of God.

Here are a few pictures of yesterdays storms and damage

This is one of the tornadoes that touched down in Arlington

Those things being whipped through the air are 18 wheelers

That is a picture of how big some of the hail this storm was producing!

Living in “Tornado Ally” we usually expect things like this to occur during Spring time, but you can never really prepare to be in the middle of it. Several people are saying there are not any deaths because of the timing of when they all touched down. Most people were at work, and many children were at school.  I still think it was a God thing!

I will say that, even though I was out of the eye of the storm while at work, one of the things on my mind was my poor Shiloh. He is terrified of storms and the thought of him being alone and crying made me sad. Of course that’s not all I was thinking about but it was one of my thoughts.

Please keep the Arlington PD in your prays as well as everyone that lost everything/something yesterday. Josh’s
brother -in- law is an officer in Arlington and from what I hear, several areas in Arlington are just gone.

If you are looking for a way to help out in anyway, they are telling people to go to VCNT.org and get connected.

Please remember to keep everyone involved in yesterdays storms in your prayers and to always be thankful for what you do have!

West Out!
